Just what I needed !!

Just what I needed: a good quality, inexpensive, 8-pin in-line connector to enable me to make an adapter cable for my 8-pin mikes so that I can use them with my new transceiver (which has an RJ-45 socket).
I cut down a good quality screened Ethernet cable and terminated it with this socket and all works fine.
Just one word of caution: I found the pin numbering on the rear of this socket a little ambiguous - my first attempt resulted in all the outer connections being rotated by one position - simply rectified, but you just need to remember that pins 1 & 7 are situated either side of the polarising bump, then all is well!
