The AlexTune makes tuning the AlexLoop a cinch. Just clamp it on the PL259 connector and turn the tuner knob until the LED shines brightest as you transmit in any mode. That's it. You are perfectly tuned.
The AlexTune also works with other magnetic loop antennas that use PL259 connectors and a coaxial cable radiator like the AlexLoop.
It works by reading the relative RF power output .You can leave it clamped if you like.
Brightness varies depending on the band you are operating; generally the lower the band the lower the brightness. It is designed to work with 2-20 watts for SSB and 1-10 watts for CW/FM/Digital modes.
