It’s a good robust bracket if you need a more permanent option than a portable set up.

Does the job

I have several of these now and they are much better than the cheaper plastic alternative. However, be careful when clamping to the pole. It is easy to over tighten the u bolts resulting in the bracket slightly bending. It's strong but not that strong. The earth side of the dipole will tighten nicely onto the metal plate. Thread lock might also be a consideration if looking at a permanent install. I feel the centre could be over tightened crushing the plastic insulating washer. Care needs to taken there and it never feels quite as tight as you'd hope. Again thread lock might help and to be fair after several days it hasn't worked loose and fallen off yet. It works and is a good heavy duty answer for mounting larger mobile whips as a dipole.

Been waiting for something like this

Previous experiments at making a dipole with 2 AmPro whips haven't gone well due to not having a sufficiently sturdy centre support.
So since I already had a selection of whips I was eager to try this new Heavy Duty centre.
Configurations I have tried so far;
2 AmPro 40m whips back to back horizontally,
MFJ 16' Telescopic Whip with AmPro 20m vertically oriented.
Both have worked really well, 30W of FT8 reported in Australia, NZ, Alaska, Japan, Thailand
I'm sticking with vertical for now, I'll try other bands when I get time.
