Perfect for foundation licensees and intermediate alike!

Beautiful radio with a definite high price look at an amazing price from moonraker!

My unit arrived already programmed but as I also have the handheld I used my own code plug. Another addition to my anytone collection!

The free antenna was a bonus too!

Very Good

Got this as part of my first set up after passing my licence earlier this year, its a very good radio and works really well with a diamond x50 on the roof, nice clean audio and very good on DMR.

Brilliant
Review by
Finally got my new Anytone 578 on air and I must say that I think it's a brilliant radio. The supplied manual is, in my view, a bit vague in some areas but us amateurs are used to finding out how something works by "fiddling" with it. (it's part of the enjoyment of buying something new). Excellant performance and audio quality is superb.

Great radio
Review by
Good solid radio. As I was one of the first to get one of these there are a few bugs which is only to be expected. I know these will be sorted with firmware updates which Anytone are really good with. Volume from the speaker mic is not the best quality but as I use an external speaker that does not bother me. The volume quality from the rigs built in speaker is good. I especially like the crossband repeater functions that is has and the fact that it has 2 true VCOs controlled by 2 separate volume knobs is great. Overall it is well worth the price tag and I would recommend this rig to anyone wanting a DMR mobile or DMR base station for the shack. My only dislike is that it uses an SO239 on the rear of the rig. These are not recommended for UHF and I recommend an N-Type adaptor to be purchased with the rig.
