a fantastic radio I'm so happy I can't believe how many people have this radio
I've just had this Radio 2 weeks and have spoke about 35 people in two weeks with with the same radio all over the world

After tried few low cost Chinese hand held is the best . The only issue if you using a windows 11 but be a problem to updating the firmware.

"...UVII" Is Almost There!

D878UVII Plus. Nice feel to it, and many good features, but only 90% of the way to Top Notch. Comparing it with my trusty UV-5HR, it has not got the pull on Rx or Tx to reach those farther away stations. Those it does hit are usually clear and audio reports good. The Moonraker "plug" leaves something to be desired, as it did not have my most used local repeaters in it; so I ended up wiping and re-programming the ones I needed; a tedious job with the AT Software which lacks clear guidelines! One thing I discovered was that every time you add a Station, you have to go into the Software Tab for 'Zone', then add that station into the appropriate list in the Zone, otherwise, it does not show-up on the radio.
Overall I like the fact that the display colours can be changed, and with lighter Text can be seen in sunlight. PTT nice and easy, programming not too bad, apart from not being able to "Copy & Paste" or "Slide Blocks" of Lines; you can only Copy & Paste one line at a time. :-( AnyTone's CPS Software needs some vast improvements, but works with it's annoying quirks.
If AT could fix this radio so it has the "pull & push" of a Yaesu, and fix that annoying CPS, I'd give it 10/10 all the way. At this price though, it's still a decent radio. Bluetooth works, but sadly, not with my car's system; which only treats it like a Phone!
Overall, nice radio to use, long battery life (c.3-4 hrs active service). I'm not using DMR, just Analogue, so cannot comment on DMR here.

A top quality, well made DMR

Spent a fair while probing the respective virtues of the DMRs on the market. (I used to tinker with Ham radios in the early 80's - until marriage & kids intervened). Settled for this one. Also slightly influenced by Moonraker's competitive price. The whole look & feel of this radio is positive. It's well made, solid and will take a few knocks. It has a very good colour display and the battery seems to last forever. Configuration options are many but sensible (no frippery). Included CPS software is fine but I haves invested in the RT Systems Programmer which is far more powerful, intuitive and Excel-like. It's worth every penny/cent of the $25 (£20) if you get it from their website.

As a new amateur this is a great first radio.
Once I got my head round the software it is really easy to use. Having both UHF and VHF in your and in one package for such a competitive price is a great start.

I can't fault the radio nor the service I feel reluctant to write a review I did ring them & ask for my dmr number to be put in & there's a couple numbers missing out of it , so other then this I can't fault it....

Great radio. Lucky I have a great local network of fellow amateurs and a codeplug modified for my area was a great addition. Lots of TG91 contacts first day with my hotspot. It's a learning curve,but plenty of info out there.
