I bought this to use around the house which works very well, my shack is up stairs but it does cover down stairs as well.
No issues setting it up after firmware updates and i love the ability to switch the radio on/off remotely.
Volume/channel change is a bit fiddly but well worth the money you pay for it.

worked straight off when radio powered on.no problems so far.also as i live in the eu (ireland)paying the tax and duties in advance is a great advantage when purchasing from moonraker.10 out of 10.cheers

Delivered very quickly and then a few hours were invested in some research and downloads.
The BT-01 works well with the AT-D578UVIII-Plus, but <only> once the CPS, radio, and BT-01 have all been updated: CPS (to program the radio); Radio FirmWare; Radio Baseband; Radio BlueTooth module; Radio APRS Board; and BT-01 FirmWare.
Depending on models, some of these items may already be at the required release level and be skipped. Nothing overly difficult, a little time-consuming, but a worthwhile investment to get the best results.
Per the Facebook Users Group, there is a current glitch reported with APRS beacons causing the radio to lock on permanent Tx. It's being addressed and a new update is evidently being trialled and formal release is anticipated soon. For now, turn off automatic APRS!
In summary, pleased with the addition and its capabilities. Usage will, of course, inform this view over time!
