Review by

I used to have a realistic scanner back in the 90s and recently became interested in aviation having moved near an airport so I purchased the EZI33XLT plus as a starter, the plus includes 2 X rechargeable batteries and basically that is the only difference between this and the normal version which is now discontinued, now to the radio itself, the antenna supplied is virtually useless unless standing outside the airport and would not pick anything up so I purchased a telescopic antenna so please bear that in mind and budget for an alternative one, the sound quality is pretty good from the built-in speaker but the instruction manual isn't very good I picked it up by trial and error, all in all I would recommend the EZI33XLT plus as a starter scanner and I'm hoping to upgrade to the UBC-125XLT in the future.
