My previous version of this lead had finally died after a few years. This has a different chipset, it's no longer appearing as a Prolific device, so Windows doesn't try to update the driver and disable it. On W11 it worked straight away, and programmed fine using CHIRP as the software.

i was advised that this Baofeng cable would fit my 2
Wouxun KG-Q332, but when I opened the package I thought “hmm, I don’t think so”! But it did, and in conjunction with the RT Systems software it worked well in programming my Wouxun radio.

Bought this to use with my Pofung GT5. Although I didn't use the s/ware that came with the cable.
Windows 10 installed a working driver with no problems and I then used Chirp s/ware.
Certainly makes life easier than programming memories by keypad!

The unit did not work due to the driver and chip combination. After searching on the support site I found and loaded the ver 3.2 driver, NOT 3.8 as defaulted, also use Device manager to find out the COM port allocated COM3 in my case. The device worked ok then use search for chirp file generate if in UK for a selection of repeaters to save to memory, max 128, first down load the .img file from you device UV-5R in my case, in chirp use import and find the .csv file on you PC downloads, then write to you Radio. | found some formatting errors so had to manually edit until the file was accepted.
