BHI Compact in-Line DSP noise cancelling module
The New Compact In-Line module measures just 125 x 70 x 37 mm, and is the latest addition to bhi's range of DSP noise cancelling products.
This small compact battery operated handheld unit is ideal for portable use, and includes the latest bhi dual channel/stereo DSP noise cancelling technology. It is designed to be used with a pair of stereo headphones, but will also drive a mono loudspeaker or a pair of powered stereo speakers.
The Compact In-Line module is powered by two AA alkaline or NiMH batteries, or can be powered from a separate DC supply (power lead supplied). The modules functions are microprocessor controlled and the unit can accept mono or stereo signals. It has separate speaker level and line level inputs with two separate rotary encoder controls with pushbutton action for filter level select, power on/off, volume control and stereo/mono signal selection. You simply adjust the controls to suit your current noisy conditions. This module is suitable for use on all radios and receivers including software defined radios (SDR)

Good noise reduction module

I have been using this between a Tecsun PL-990x and some external speakers and it really does clear up background static / white noise without removing the broadcast so you really can hear it clearly. Great for Shortwave listening. Has user selectable levels of DSP noise reduction, the first 2 or 3 work best in my experience as above that you can lose some of the broadcast. If you want a physical radio version of one of the best features of and SDR this is a worthwhile purchase.
