Good magic band vertical

I have limited mast space and frequently swop aerials to suit activity. I purchased the GH-50 for the Sporadic E season. During openings, polarisation varies and both horizontal and vertical work well. Although there is less aerial gain than a beam this can be compensated by using CW or data modes. The aerial vswr is simple to adjust with a short tip rod and mounting is achieved with an included Comet CMB-GH bracket for 25-95 mm mast diameters. I particularly choose this aerial as it did not need radials. I have it mounted on a 4.5 metre mast to place the centre is the aerial at 6 metres above ground. This years sporadic season has yet to start but results with UK repeaters and beacons are promising. In summary this aerial is a neat way of joining in the 6 metre magic.
