Very quick to set up straight out of the box so these are also ideal for portable use.
No tuning required, you can be up and running very quickly.
This is my second set and I also have the 10 element 2m and 70cm versions. I have purchased more to set up a standalone satellite tracking station. Nice build quality at a very affordable price.

Great for portable

As a newish M7 just discovering the different aspects of the hobby I bought this so I could try working 2m SSB out portable. I found a high spot (only 160m ASL but best I could find locally.) There was a tropo opening and within an hour I'd worked 5 other station in Kent/Essex at between 90 and 100 miles distance. My little FT817ND only puts out 5w max but I got some great signal reports. Overall very pleased with it the only thing I can say against it is be careful with the elements/reflectors as they bend easily.
