This antenna is great for single band operation, I have used it both static and mobile, in reasonable lift conditions whilst mobile with contacts over 100 Miles in great lift conditions I have contacts into the canary Islands, in normal conditions with contacts around 35 to 50 miles, caution if you are going to use it mobile a good mount will be required I use a triple plate mag mount and I have driven at over 70 without any issues. expect some flutter with the 2 X 5/8th wave its common, I have used it static on a temporary pole to very good effect clocking up 40 to 60 contacts in a hour and when lift is there expect to fill the log book very quickly 73's de G7CQH

This is a great antenna for static mobile, it is very well made and very long so not possible to drive with it. I have only ever used it on high ground on a magmount but if you can hear a station you can work them.
