Surprisingly good ????

I wanted to try a new antenna for SOTA. I went for this one because it was compact folded (good for packing when not in use) and not too long and delicate when extended.
I thought turning down a longer one (but therefore too delicate on mountains) would limit its range.
First trip out I managed a two-way 110 mile summit to summit contact which I was very pleased about.
The joint is also very useful because it is possible to rest the HT with the antenna at an angle - you don’t have to either hold it all the time or only put it down upright.
Build quality and price are good too!
