The antenna? Honestly, i wasnt expecting much, For how short it is, But for the price, I thought i'd give it a try...

While mobile, Travelling up the A10 towards Kings Lynn.. I was 12 miles from Kings Lynn repeater, GB3KY.. throwing full 25w licence limit at it.. I couldnt activate the repeater.. I tried again at 8 miles away, and got a S5 response tone back from the repeater... So id estimate, 8-9 mile range.. On a clear day.. Great tropo conditions that day too.. Clear run up the A10.. 8-9 mile range with 25w...
Not very good, considering i was travelling to Hunstanton.. Gb3KY and KL repeaters cover all of K.ynn and all the way to hunstanton.. But with this antenna.. I had extremely limited coverage and range...
The mag mount part of it, is brilliant... With a rubber cover to protect paint work...
It defo is true what they say.. Height in might...
I think i will keep the mag mount on the car.. But put a longer 2m/70cm antenna onto it...

It looks great and feels robust, but it maybe some issue with my car or area but I am finding signal to be very poor, rubber ducky on my ht inside the car works slightly better than this externally mounted.

Was hoping for better, but it's all part of the learning experiance

Good little antenna for its size, sits perfectly on the car and seems to work well. Modern design so it looks good on most vehicles.

Great vehicle antenna, smaller than a can of redbull, solid magmount. !! Using on a 5w PMR handheld, easily had 6.5 miles on high ground clean clear audio, in built up areas have transmitted and received 6 miles while mobile. Using inside house, i have just about scrapped 10 miles transmit and receive using 5w PMR handheld.

Wow punches well above it's weight, some great feedback to signal check requests and general chatter.
Very discreet and modern looking compared to the usual bit of mid twisted wire sticking out like a sore thumb????

Just the job for me saves keep taking antenna of to put car in garage not tried it yet much but will update when I do .

Had this antenna for about 2 months now, and it is unbelievable. I usually sway to the side of throwing as much metal in the air as possible when it comes to mobile whips, but this antenna has proven me wrong. It's low profile, descrete and performs fanatiscally, build quality is excellent. The antenna itself can be seperated from the magentic base (PL259 <-> SO239). Caught short I used it directly on my HT without the base and got great results. Every ham should own one.
