Fitted to my wife's S-Cross as my 4x4 with 4 high gain antennas became a total loss after an RTC.Fitted waited 24 hours and drove amazed how good it performed ,it fell off and was damaged .Moon raker replaced it without question not even the postage was requested. Fitted the replacement added a fishing line to the coils to car body for support, I'm sure the mount was modified .Now completed some 100miles at speed all good.
Best contact over the week end 140 miles on 2m
me at sea level the other station 1300 ft asl with a beam. If this one fails I will replace it to be recommended, and moonraker service, Thanks Mike wMw

Out of the packet the best I could get it to tune to was 1.8:1 on 2m and 3:1 on 70cm , added a second counterpoise (18” wire) and it came down to 1.2:1 on 2m and 1.5:1 on 70cm this was on a 2016 Honda CR-V rear side glass.
Personally I think to 50w handling is ‘optimistic’ so I’ve kept it to 10w but have no problem working 15 to 20 miles simplex, externally the construction is very good, it’s always going to be a compromise but it actually works very well for what it is.

I was a bit sceptical about this glass mounted antenna working well but I was wrong.
I mounted it in the top passenger corner of my VW campervan windscreen and went on my local hill.
Straight away lots of strong signals, I came across a group on 2m so I joined in.
My first contact using this antenna was 26 mile and 5/9 both ways.

The best I can hope for in my vehicle

I bought this after seeing a review by a ham who has the same vehicle as me (Renault Twizy). There are very few options on this vehicle and a glass mounted installation had never crossed my mind until now! It works extremely well, way better than anticipated. Tip: When tuning using the potentiometer on the inside of the car, just a clockmaker's metal screwdriver for a far more positive feel, just back off each time before testing SWR. The plastic tool provided is a little too vague when using.

Had mine fitted to our Honda CRV for eight years here in 5B land. It's survived blistering heat for months on end then put up with hail & snow and with little sign of ageing. The whip easily unscrews for the car wash etc. OK, it has its limitations but for what it is and does it works fine for me. A 2nd. car means this coming Aug. 2018 another of these will be purchased while I'm in England.
