Minimum fuss setup, shuns off the wet weather with good performance.
Head height install, good SWR returns on 40 through 10M and great results both U/L SSB and digital modes

Great vertical
Review by

Been using these for the past 15 years. I have two of them up on 2 sets. Work extremely well with good results into West US, Central US, Argentina and Japan, Australia and N Z. Pretty stable in 70mph winds. Only issue the threading on the u bolts could do with being a little longer when fitted to the ground spike but solved with a couple of washers.

My first HF antenna
Review by
Richard
I wanted my first HF aerial to be a vertical just for ease of use...I also have a yaesu ft710 and the on board ATU/AMU doesn't seem to have any issues tuning the aerial

Better than expected
Review by
Daniel
After a storm broken my cobweb antenna I was looking for a quick replacement and there it is. I didn't expected much from a simple vertical without radials but I'm impressed with the result. Installation was super easy, I did alone in 15 minutes (it took more to bring everything on the roof than the installation itself). The antenna is installed on the roof with no radials and with the base at around 2m height from the roof. The performance is better than I expected from such a simple setup, very good reports both on SSB (less than 100W) and digital (25W): US, Brazil, Argentina and on the other side Japan, Thailand or Indonesia. It tunes and it works very well on all bands, except 80m where the performance is marginal. On the lower bands the noise is significant but not excessive, compared with other antenna (a fan dipole). Overall I'm very satisfied since for the performance and I'm curios to see how it will resist in time (mainly to the wind). Also I will like to thank Moonraker team for the great communication and support!

Bought this antenna because my original one broke (snapped in half) due to a heavy storm, so this one seems to be a better performer than the one it replaced. Really pleased with its performance, on 40 & 20 this antenna measures about 55 OHMs without atu so it will tune dead easy with my transceivers built in atu.
