GMELITE Gold Dual Element Microphone

The Gold Elite microphone is designed and crafted specifically for amateur radio communications. It features a high-performance, dynamic dual-element design to easily handle a wide range of transmitting needs.

The WIDE position utilizes the Heil Elite full-range dynamic element producing a smooth and articulate frequency response with the traditional Heil +4 dB peak centered at 2 kHz. This gives the Gold Elite excellent voice articulation along with a full and warm low end that produces well-balanced, studio-quality SSB signal audio.

TThe NARROW position utilizes the HC-5.1 dynamic element producing an ultra-articulate frequency response. The HC-5.1 element is designed to respond to both older rigs as well as contemporary transceivers with onboard DSP EQ. The HC-5.1 is excellent for DX/Contest audio and provides strong transmit audio that cuts through noise

The ‘soft touch’ PTT switch is wired to pins 3 and 4 for transmit controll, with microphone audio wired to pins 1 and 2 of the 4-pin XLR connector.
