Heilwire is a specially-designed cable ideal for connecting microphones, foot switches, keyer paddles, and/or other data or control devices. Heilwire features two 18-gauge wires inside a 100% coverage silver-plated braid shield, plus two 18-gauge wires external to the braid, for PTT or other control purposes.
This design reduces capacitive coupling between the control lines and the sensitive AC audio signals residing inside the shield, resulting in significant reduction of the possibility of hum pickup or RFI issues.
The Heilwire outer jacket is a very flexible PVC covering specified to fit perfectly inside Heil Sound connectors.
