Very pleased with this simple, omni-dirrctional antenna

Easily assembled, but junction box needed water-proofing. I used superglue - NNAFTER air-testing which showed SWR of 1.5:1 or less across whole band. Use for local 2m SSB net.

Easy to assemble.

Initially the SWR was a bit high at around 2.0 :1. This was easily adjusted by increasing the gap by springing out the two dipole elements. Initially the gap without black caps was about 30mm. Gradually increasing the gap brought the SWR down to a very acceptable 1.2 :1 at best. This was the same right across the 2m band.
I've yet to mount it on my mast at 24 metres height, but found I got good results on a temporary pole at about 4 Metres from the ground.

Fantastic antenna for my Icom 705 and FT-818 Kit bag for 2m SSB work

very pleased with the performance of this antenna for hilltop and portable operations due to being light weight and easy to assemble. You could use this for permanent use but the Moonraker yagis would offer more gain. I use this on top of a fiberglass pole at times as well
