This Mike, not only is it very robust and waterproof, but it sounds very good, I have used several Mike’s but this one is honestly the best one I have, you won’t regret it if you buy one.

Most HT fist mic speakers sound cheap, this one certainly does not! It has the same (if not slightly better) sound quality you'd expect from a HT internal speaker, Icom quality showing through. The jack connector with the weather seal is a really good fit and will not pull out when using the mic as intended. The coiled cable is perfect for stretch.
I thought it was a bit on the expensive side... until I got hold of it and used it, that was when I saw (and heard) where the money went. The same quality and feel of the IC-705 mic.

Great addition to the ID52

So you have bought your ID52 and its a great looking hand held. The next thing you are going to need is a speaker microphone. You are best going for something that offers superior quality . It has to be the ICOM HM-183LS. This speaker microphone clips easily onto your clothing, the receive audio is superb, the mike key is precise and functions as it should. This is a professional looking mike to compliment the ID -51 or the ID-52. Some may say its a tad expensive but I am of the opinion that quality costs.
