Without doubt this is a quality bag from the material to zips.
Placing the transceiver in the top section I feel doesn't give it enough room to breathe and even when secured can tip forward and out the bag all be it leashed so hanging down.
Using the moveable divider in the bottom section and placing the unit on end I feel is better. I would never intend to use it mounted in the bag in any case, I'm using this more for storage and to keep everything together.
I'll be looking at waterproof backpacks for wet weather activations even though I'll be waterproofing this one with Thompsons Waterseal.
Thanks to Moonraker for arranging a good package deal on all things IC705.

Super quality and a clever design

The backpack is high quality and has a clever design. The IC-705 fits perfectly and can be secured with a screw to prevent it from accidentally falling out. There are sturdy ports for the antenna and speaker microphone cable to allow you to operate on the go. The lower compartment has two adjustable velcro dividers, so I could easily add my (lightweight) 12V Lithium battery securely to get the full 10 Watts from the IC-705 and still have some room for cables.
I initially felt the purchase price of the backpack was high, but now I have tried it out, I think it's excellent value for money, considering the quality and customisation to fit the IC705 and its accessories.
I will use my IC-705 in the LC-192 backpack with my transverters to operate on the microwave bands from the top of some hills, here in the Black Mountains, so please look out for me!
Well done, Icom, on the design, and thank you, Moonraker, for delivering it securely in adequate packaging, which I have found lacking these days from some sellers trying to cut costs.
