Ok at best

I've had this for about 6 months now.
If you plan to use this purely as a network radio, it is useable, and has good audio. The speaker is a lot quieter than say the T320, but ok for normal environments.
However, if you're thinking of using it as a dual purpose network radio and general mobile phone, forget it!
Even running just a PTT app, it will sometimes get very warm and start draining the battery, for seemingly no reason.
I don't recommend it, there are better network radios out there at a similar price point.

The S300 has a replaceable battery, unlike many modern smartphones. You even get a screwdriver for the job, but the primary purpose of the tool is to secure the SIM in its holder along with an optional micro SD card. One other thing I have notices is the 3.5mm headphone socket is not standard. I guess it’s designed for the external earphone/mic. However if you want to listen to music the Bluetooth interface works well.

Inrico S300
Review by

When I was looking for a new PoC radio there were very few reviews on the Inrico S300. I have now owned mine for a couple of weeks and some may find my review helpful. The S300 is meant to replace my T320 and TM7, both of which were supplied by Moonraker. The screens on these two units are so small they are almost impossible to use especially with apps like Teamspeak3 and DroidStar. I wanted something with a larger screen and something that didn't look a like a walkie-talkie. The Inrico S300 seemed to fit the bill nicely. It looks like a smart phone, functions like a smart phone. Has a 5 inch screen and the all important PTT button and high capacity battery. Running Zello or Peanut on a standard smart phone is very heavy on battery consumption.
The S300 arrived well packaged and the box reminded me of the type used by Apple for their products. The unit feels solid, well made with the buttons feeling positive when pressed. The screen is good, but the only negative is the audio is not as loud as the T320, possibly because of the slim case compared to the T320. Otherwise I am very happy with my purchase. I use it as my private phone as well as the various amateur applications including Zello, Peanut, Teamspeak3, Droidstar and Echolink. Well worth considering and much cheaper than other vendors products.
