JPC-12
Review by
John
I've been using this antenna for a while now so time for a review. One of the reasons I bought it is that it all packs down to a small package and is supplied in a little fitted case. This all packs away into my field bag along with clock, log book, band plan, earth wire and some coax. When out I have a small pelicase with the FT-891+FC-50 (see other reviews) and everything else in an Antler carry bag.
The antenna assembles up quickly enough. Just make sure you get the 'eye' loop (with the counterpoise) up the right way or you might get a poor connection as it doesn't sit absolutely flush with the base of the bottom element. Changing bands is easy enough with the spring-loaded coil-slider. At the end of the day it all packs away very quickly.
