Purchased as my 1st HF line, very basic installation over the top on my semi roof, into shack and earthed outside, no trimming. LDG atu sorts it out. 40m reception is outstanding.

Having just installed this around 12m off the ground. I found this tunes on all bands so easy. Performance is surprising as I could definitely hear more and work more than the replacement G5RV. Very low noise floor but I do have a low floor anyway but this became less. I experimented with the earth wire and this reduced the floor to S1 on all bands except 17m. Absolute very good value for money and very well built and constructed of good quality materials considering the price. So credit where credit is due. All round very happy with this purchase.

Now I have a replacement un-un, this is a fantastic antenna, my noise level has gone down, and RX signals are so much better, reports are good too.
I just added around 20ft of wire to the Earth stud, and kept it about 3ft off the ground, my FT950 will tune the ant on 40m to 10m, I use my MFJ-949E to tune on 80m and 60m, ops that could barely hear me are amazed at my signals.
