It is suitable for cables with diameters of 7.3mm (0.287"), 10.3mm (0.400") or 12.7mm (0.500"), when used with compatible M&P connectors and adapters. Please note: it is not suitable for 7/16 connectors or right-angle connectors if they are already installed before fitting. This compact sealing sleeve quickly forms a tight, hermetic and seamless seal between antenna sockets and downlead cables, helping to protect connections from moisture and environmental exposure. Installation requires no flame or heat, making it ideal for safe and convenient use outdoors. In addition to antenna installations, the seal can also be used inside electrical cabinets to protect connections from condensation, such as extension leads and other wiring connections. It can also provide additional strain relief, helping to improve the tensile strength between the cable and connector. The Messi & Paoloni Silicone Seal S is factory expanded and mounted on a removable plastic support core. When the internal strip is unwound and the core removed, the pre-stretched silicone sleeve contracts tightly around the cable and connector, forming a thick and durable protective seal. The silicone material remains flexible and resilient even after long-term exposure to UV rays, moisture, acids and harsh environmental conditions. It has an operating temperature range of -60°C to +90°C (-76°F to +194°F). The material meets flammability rating V-0, meaning burning stops within 10 seconds on a vertical specimen, with particle drips permitted provided they are not inflamed. How to use: After fitting the connector to the cable, slide the Messi & Paoloni Silicone Seal Large over the cable and position it so it cannot slip down the cable. Temporary tape may be used if required. Screw the two connectors together securely, making sure they are tight but not overtightened. Push the seal firmly against the base of the antenna connector. The red arrow should point downward, away from the antenna socket. Hold the seal in position and pull the internal strip from the white plastic core in the direction of the red arrow. As the plastic core unwinds and removes itself, the silicone sleeve shrinks tightly around the connectors and cable, forming a permanent protective seal. This quick installation process requires no heat or special tools, making it ideal for use in cold weather, windy environments or tower installations while ensuring a professional and durable result.
