This base loaded steel mobile whip is the classic, most popular CB antenna. It will improve incoming & outgoing signals, compared to smaller antennas. The antenna is pre-set so no tuning is required. A mounting stud will secure the antenna onto a standard 9.5mm (3/8") mobile mount.

Great for a budget antenna

Bought this from my local radio shop, only paid £8 for it and it booms out for a cheap antenna.
Not as good as the modulator it replaced, but almost.
Build quality is not as good, the contact thread is held to the main shift with rivets that sheared the other day when unscrewing it from my roof but I stuck a nut and bolt through the holes and it's never going to give me trouble again!
Took a little trimming to get the swr right but that's normal and before and after the nut and bolt mod I have a swr of 1.1 on a drilled roof mount on a mondeo.
Overall for the price I think it's well worth it, if I snap this one (need to be more carefull about forgetting I have it on the roof!), I would buy another.
