Does your HF rigs automatic tuner have limited matching range? MFJ's AutoTuner Extender transforms your antenna impedance up or down. Puts nearly any antenna into the range of your automatic tuner. Extends range of manual antenna tuners also. Use with any transceiver 160 through 10 Meters with up to 300 Watts. On/Off, Bypass positions. MFJ-914 was carefully designed for flattest frequency response and lowest loss.
MFJ's Auto Tuner Extender transforms your antenna impedance - up or down by as much as ten times! Nearly any antenna is put in the matching range of your automatic tuner. Use with any transceiver from 160 through 10 metres with up to 300 watts. The MFJ-914 connects in-line between your transmitter and antenna. Connect your transmitters antenna output to the SO-239 connector labeled 'Transmitter', and your antenna to the 'Antenna' connector. For maximum protection of your transceiver, a 50-ohm dummy load should be connected to the plug labeled 'Dummy Load' and the 'Ground' stud connected to a good RF ground

A good feature is when closing down the operator turns the knob to the Off/dummy load position so the radio is safely connected to a dummy load (assuming you connected on to the MFJ-914) and the antenna is connected to ground. A good attention to detail there.
