Description / MOONRAKER DBD-2040 (40/20m) Dipole Antenna
Two band loaded dipole for 20 and 40m (only loaded on 40m). SWR below 1.5 throughout the whole 20m band (14.0 – 14.35MHz), below 2 throughout the 40m band (7.0 - 7.2MHz).
This is fitted with a 1:1 BALUN at the feedpoint and can be fed with standard 50ohm coax.
Overall length is just 12m so will even fit in small gardens and can be dog-legged, inverted (V or L) or bent with little change in performance.

Excellent Antenna for Small Space

I chose this antenna due to the small space that I had in my yard, primary interest in 20m. Performance on 20m is excellent. SWR was good typically under 1.5:1), and performance on air was great, and am receiving good reports on signal strength from contacts as far as away as 12,000km.
Performance and SWR on 40m is not as good. With tuning, I am able to achieve an acceptable SWR.
All things considered, I am satisfied with the value.
