Small but does the job

My initial reaction was that it was too small and flimsy. It is tiny. 0.5m tall, and a mag mount not much bigger than a 50p piece. However, despite thinking it would blow off, it didn't (up to 70mph), and is actually decent at picking up local repeaters. It is also not obtrusive as it is black and therefore nearly invisible at a distance. Mine was slightly bent, so not sure if this happened in transit, but it doesn't seem to matter

Upgrade to rubber duck

Very basic little antenna and does what it's supposed to. Easy to stick on the roof of your vehicle with plenty of cable. A definate improvement to most rubber duck antennas that are supplied with the radio. If you are just finding your feet in amateur radio, this might be a good option as a starter rig.
