Stealth antenna

I needed a fairly discreet antenna for use on my company car and this fitted the bill perfectly.
Despite its size it’s a solid performer and is also short enough so getting into car parks etc doesn’t require jumping out!

Can make a stealthy base antenna

I needed an unobtrusive base antenna but all 'proper' 2m/70cm base antennas were much too large. I paired this with an MGP-Tristar ground plane to make in into a mini base antenna and mounted on a pole hidden behind shrubs in the garden! Stealthy... works okay, gain is noticably better than a rubber-duck on a hand held, but I'm sure it's no where near what a 'proper' base antenna would do.

antenna works ok but it has its problems

Bought this antenna for the car as I wanted something discreet antenna works fine and I can open up repeater 20 miles away no problem the only fly in the ointment is that the female sma keeps coming off. rang moon raker who to there credit sent out a replacement but the same thing has happened to the replacement. not a major problem but you may have to crimp a replacement sma.

Small, unobtrusive antenna, looks good on car. Gain not great but only small antenna, works well, a couple of S points down on my larger mobile antenna. SWR about 1.3:1 on 145 MHz and about 1.9:1 on 433.40 MHz using a hatch mount, unable to tune SWR lower but acceptable with factory setting.
