Looking for a simple to set-up 2m/70cm Mobile Antenna? Look no further. It required no tuning and on a decent Mag Mount, such as the Limpet 3/8, it cracks out very well: from TG-20, Venta icenorum Hill, I can activate Ipswich 55 miles South, or Wells, Northwards on the coast quite easily. Not bad for a Budget priced combo!

Have been using a home brew quarter wave for 2m on a magmount for the last two cars as unable to put a a mount on without drilling, nothing basically fitted due to plastic boots, no gutters etc. Popped this one on and works better than the quarter wave so very happy. Stout, appears well made, ready for the year ahead, rallies and holidays.

Bought this as recommended by Moonraker staff after I managed to break my quarter wave. I find this antenna excellent for the following reasons:
Light and flexible. I have no concerns of it becoming detached from my Tri Mag because it is very light. It's performance seems to be certainly no worse than my Diamond SG7900 Supergainer, which is both heavy and ridged, possibly easily broken if hit on a tree etc. It is (The MRQ575) quite stealthy too not attracting much attention, and fits inside my car boot when not in use. It does not look anything special, it's essentially just a piece of springy wire, but it tunes in well on both bands and it's about 1.6 - 1.7 on 446 too essentially making it tri band. Very good price too. Highly recommended. Buy one.

Nice quality antenna used extensively on 2m. Has a VSWR measured by a RigExpert of around 1.2 on 144.775MHz. VSWR is OK also on 70cm.
