Robust Performer

It is currently sitting on an iron roofed shed with a Sirio mag mount. Out performing my previous antenna. Good SWR across both bands. Impressed.

In tests compared with my daily driver mobile duel band antenna, this super gain antenna gives me a 10 -20 db gain on most signals.

Strong and effective!

This is a strong and effective dual band antenna. Well-built and can be shortened for transport or storage by using the alun key for various sections. I’ve been using it with a mag mount for basing myself in car parks up hills and mountains for 145 Alive with a handheld running 5w - and the signal hasn’t half travelled for me. Pleased with it.

Nicely built, hefty dual bander.

Its surprisingly well made for the price. SWR was flat at 1.2:1 across 144 to 146 but on 70cms floats around 1.6:1 across the band. It'd be interesting to know if this is adjustable with out disturbing the excellent 2m performance. Happy with it otherwise.

great antenna option

used this mobile got me a solid 20 miles, it’s heavy and rigid though so gives a solid whack navigating branches on trees, can’t fault the performance and came accurately tuned for 446mhz

This antenna feels really well made and solid. It's long as others have said, but you can remove the end section with the supplied allen key to make it easier for fitting in the car. I've hit a number of local repeaters and everyone I have spoken to has said how great my signal is on just 5W from the 705. Very much reccomended.

I will just say, if you're parked up on a hill somewhere, you wont need to wind the power up to be heard!
It feels well made, set up is quick! The price is amazing!
I happily recommend buying from Moonraker, orders turn up quick and well packaged.
If you're after some range then this antenna is well worth a try!

Upside: What a great antenna for those long journeys.... and what a long antenna! Def beats my 5/8 dual bander to pieces by about 2 S points when tested static. And a really good price I think.
Downside: There isn't one really that you wouldn't expect. It's too heavy for my boot lid mount, so a good mag-mount required and you don't really want to leave it on when parked up? You may have to keep the supplied key handy to remove the top to get it in the car. I have a Jag XF and won't fit in the boot or across the back seats without doing that. BUT I'd guessed that already. Not the antennas fault! Well worth the extra bit of effort.
