Great Scanner Antenna.
Review by

Purchased 2 years ago, connected to my scanner and still performing perfectly.
I use my scanner to monitor the VHF repeater when I'm not on air, picks up a repeater over 40 miles away, my antenna is only mounted 3 above ground, so the performance is great, I have listened to the I.S.S on a number of occasions and have listened to QSO's on VHF an UHF, crystal clear reception on the aviation frequencies and the coastguard, have also intercepted PMR transmissions.
Certainly a good antenna for your scanner and one which I can honestly recommend.

Entry level but big improvement on stock scanner antennas, affordable and discreet
Review by

I actually bought one of these second hand so paid even less than what I think is already an affordable price.
With antennas you get what you pay for so I was expecting an entry level performance which would be an improvement on the stock scanner telescopic aerial.
That is exactly what I got.
Tried it with three different scanners and it performs well on Civil Air frequencies, it also picks up local 2m HAMS and CB’ers quite well.
Seems a bit deaf on UHF and upwards, can’t pick up PMR users very well despite there being plenty in the area. My Baofeng with a Nagoya 771 antenna does a better job sat in the window.
I have the antenna mounted on a mast just above the gutter line on the roof, ideally it should clear the ridge line for a clear omnidirectional signal.
It’s a discreet antenna, quite small and ideal if you have complaining neighbours or a partner that doesn’t like you putting things up like this.
Compared to a Discone antenna it’s almost invisible, it could easily just be a piece of black pvc pipe on the side of the house to some people. It would be easy to disguise if need be.
I’m happy with the purchase on the whole and would recommend trying one especially for a first or discreet outside antenna.
