Had one of these last year for my motorhome. It worked very well until some scumbag decided they wanted it and tore it off. ???? Ordered another and i'll undo it at the hinge everytime i lock the truck up for the night.

I expect this to be in a gutter on the side of the road at some point

I have a camper van with a pop top roof, so mounting mobile aerials is a challenge. I thought I'd give a glass mount option a go.
I meticulously cleaned the surfaces and mounted the control box and the aerial, and after some experimentation managed to get a very decent SWR.
The next day, I came out to use the van and to my surprise the aerial was on the floor, it has literally been blown off by the high winds during the night.
I have sourced another double sided sticky pad and put the aerial back, but honestly, I don't see it staying put.
