A really popular antenna design being off centre fed. Having this feed point a third way along the antenna gives an impedance of 200 ohms, therefore a 4:1 balun is added at the feed point to alter the impedance to 50 ohms for modern transceivers. Antenna can be mounted horizontally, V or inverted V and even bent to fit

Having recently moved house my back garden is now very short so I needed an antenna to suit. I found most wire antennas to long and way over priced that was until I checked out Moonrakers site. This antenna fits perfect in my short back yard and at just 20 feet high within minutes of erecting and a quick check that the swr was good I had contacts around europe on just 50w ssb. the antanna is very well constructed with quality materials and very well priced .
