Fitting the connector

Simple job, fit the back of the plug on the cable, now remove the coax black sleeve (about 50mm), slide the plug washer/red rubber and other washer assembly and push it up onto the black coax sleeving, now trim back the coax braid so it covers the last washer and spread it out over the washer, now slide on the silver ferrule and push it hard into the assembly, now remove the centre core insulation and make it flush at the silver ferrule, tin the centre core, slide the plug pin onto the centre core and solder at the pin end, finally bolt up the assembly which will squash the red rubber grommet, use 2 spanners or pliers, trim the pin solder end, job done

These are the real thing and waterproof as they have the rubber washer inside, so simple to fit these bolt up units keep the cable totally secure, we use them for commercial Mil jobs and you will not beat the quality, well done Moonraker

A comment from an over-eighty radio returner: I don't see s well as I did and my fingers behave more clumsily. You might gain a reputation for anticipatory helpfulness by having a sticker with web address of useful video for installation of the item. There are subtle differences between the various PL259 on the market and finding for example, the best YouTube video, isn't easy. You may not be able to do this for everything you sell, obviously, but what a wonderful addition to customer service it could be
