The DIGIMIKE microphone is designed to make your modulation as clear as possible in all modes (AM/FM/SSB) by eliminating the background noise. In order to optimize the performance of your DIGIMIKE NRC microphone (NRC: Noise Reduction Circuit), please carefully read the user's manual and note the following points:

- Type: Electret
- Connector: 6 Pin President Wiring
- The filtering level from 1 to 5 (maximum level) must be fixed with your correspondent (DURING ANY QSO) who will confirm the optimal sound balance.
- Keep the DIGIMIKE at a minimum distance of 10 cm (4 inches), and avoid direct contact between the DIGIMIKE and your mouth.
- The DIGIMIKE will also work optimally with VOX usage (if your CB radio is equipped with the VOX feature)

Bought this digimike to replace my battery powered Astatic power mic.
A perfectly weighted hand held mic with TX audio just as clear.
Not used the NRC feature as I am home based.

Honest review: The microphone is a higher quality, better built version of the standard microphone. It 'feels' better in the hand, having more weight to it.
Transmit audio is almost identical to the standard microphone. Do not expect your audio to be significantly improved, mainly because the original standard microphone sounds really good to start with. I found a very slight change in tone and a slightly more punchy audio on SSB.
The noise reduction is an interesting feature and useful if you operate in a noisy environment, such as mobile in a vehicle. At home, in a quiet room, this feature is not required.
Overall, this is a well made microphone which improves on the design of the original one, with a very slight improvement in audio.

Nicely weighted mike. Had to set NRC to level 5 (max) with my voice , into a McKinley made a extreme improvement over factory mike which turned out to be faulty anyhow. The mike is powered by the radio ( pin #6)so no battery required.

This microphone is fantastic quality and feels great in the hand with more weight than standard mics. I've had good radio reports when swapping from standard mic to the Digimike, people saying slightly louder with a really nice tone.
With the different settings it can suit any mobile situation as well as home base.
I highly recommend this microphone.
