I get the impression from reviews that the " hardware" is not always the same. In this case it is TANIX Tv box that has been repurposed. It took some time to get it working and the help of a friend who is a bit of an expert at computer stuff. I was disappointed that Moonraker didn't help, other than saying they would. My friend diagnosed that the wi fi dongle supplied did not actually contain the dongle software. I purchased another one and this solved the problem straight away. I informed Moonraker of this and so far have no acknowledgement from them. I am really pleased with the Hamclock, but am a bit disappointed with customer care.

After the first connection it works perfectly without any problems. The CQRLOG logging program is also easy to install and works properly. I have not yet tried the connection with the TS-480 I have in my car.

Fabulous addition to the shack and recent software updates have just made it even better. The cooling fan is a bit on the loud side but only a small niggle.

A lot of patience is needed during setup but once this is done you will have a very useful piece of eye-candy on the shack wall.

What a fabulous bit of kit. A wee bit of patience is needed during set-up or reconfiguring as this is a bit slow. All in all, for the price I cannot fault it.

Without doubt the best bit of "eye candy" for any shack wall.
