This is a great alternative to a mag mount for an Ampro vertical!

Construction of the mount is such to allow the rod mounting flange to be turned 90 degs.
This then permits use of a standard lightning earth rod (think the one I used was 3/8inch diam) to be clamped to the fixture which in turn is pushed into the ground to hold the fixture and antenna vertical whilst providing an electrical bound to earth.
Also the four retaining screws can act as clamps for earth counterpoise wires if required.
The only change that I would make would be to replace the standard nuts with wing nuts to make assembly far easier without the need of any tools.

Fitted mount onto 3/8" 4ft ground rod, then fitted 4 x 5m Radials to the studs and created a great vertical ground mount for my Ampro Antennas, SWR around 1.1 to 1.3, very sturdy mount, very good quality.

Decent & Well Made Antenna Bracket

I'd been meaning to buy one of these mounts since I began using my SlideWinder Coil & 9ft M.I.L whip, this bracket attached to a 4ft copper ground rod with 4-6 random length radials is very quick & easy to deploy and can be done in minutes.
The mount itself is made well enough to withstand pretty much whatever you care to chuck at it. Without checking, it looks like it will fit a pole up to approx 1" in diameter but longer bolts could be used for anything larger.
It's probably visible from the pics that the orientation can be either vertical or horizontal depending on the position of the backplate. Changing between the two only requires the plate to be turned 90 degrees by temporarily removing the bolts to allow repositioning..
