Seems a bit dodgy to tighten down. Fortunately it's going on an L shaped bracket on a pole and not through a hole on a car body. Bought it over a DV mount so I could use a PL259 plug

this is for mounting through the roof of a vehicle if your considering using one as part of a bracket with a a metal plate 3+ mm it doesn’t have the thread range to tighten down enough
