Lower connector too short
Review by
JK
Looks solid but lower SO239 connector is too short with the mounting nut installed. Not enough thread left to fully screw the connector in.
Either, the thread should be longer or the nut thinner.

Longer thread needed
Review by
Allan
These are sturdy enough but the lower thread needs to be longer. I mounted this on 2mm thick aluminium plate stretched between the roof bars on my Jeep, but there was not enough thread showing to tighten the PL259 plug at the bottom. I had to leave off the large backing washer. Moonraker can you please put a warning on the information about this, saying the maximum thickness where these can be used is about 1mm without discarding some of the supplied washers.

Nice mount but check thickness where fixing
Review by
David
Used this on a home made 4mm thick aluminium bracket. Could not use the supplied star fxing washers as the thread on the SO259 socket for the coax feed was not long enough to allow the plug to fully tighten. Not an issue for me as the mount is not being used on a vehicle where there could be vibration with the possible risk of the lock nut coming loose. Otherwise a good solid mount.
