Rugged, Capable with the features I need!

I have had the RM HLA150V Plus for several weeks now and have put it through its paces, fed by my qrp radios, a KX3 and a CommRadio CTX10 feeding a base-loaded multi-band portable vertical.
After going through several cheap Chinese amps that were (at best) unreliable, I sprung for the HLA, and am so glad that I did.
The auto band switching and auto rf sense are perfect out in the field to uncomplicate the setup and ease the operation. I get a good honest 75-90 watts out with 2.5 watts in. The amp runs cool, and just loafs along, doing its job, pulling 10-15amps. SWR protection and overdrive protections are there too, but not so finicky that you'll spend all day looking for the miracle "zero" SWR.
A great amp, solid and well-built.
And no more Show Boat To China delivery: Shipping from Moonraker was quick and painless, I ordered the amp, and was on the air with it within a week. Highly recommended!
