yes its true they shut down swr but if you have harmonics ..im sure the radio id mod or has a problem dont use auto atu better manual ..the amps are very good the run them less last for ever ..i have 4 rm amps never had a issue ..remember rm power is pep 600w.. if 15 w in on the amp its pep make sure dont run it 15 avg..15watts fm.or ssb pep run less like 12 pep so you be safe

Great looking amp. I was using on a 24 volt power supply but switched to a large 24 volt lithium ion battery. 600 watts? Probably not. High swr shutdown always comes on. Even though I have a perfect match. I had to turn my mic gain almost off and switch to a cheap handheld. I set my deadkey at one watt. Having swing watts will shut it down every time. The most wats I could get was 450 pep. If your radio swings a lot, you won't be happy. I am not happy. I will figure out why it shuts down. I used an auto tuner to get my best results. It does work. But mediocre at best. It fits my personality.
