amazing piece of equipment

make sure you dont overdrive this unit or it can all go wrong, I use 34w input and am reading approx 500w output, pre amp is amazing however this can bring in all the background smush with it, use the preamp on your rig. 73's to one and all and have fun :)

bought this on a black friday deal and saved 10% was well pleased about that.
used static mobile with a humble sirio 4000 i am shocked at how well this performs, i simply didn't expect it to be so big or capable, its not something i use everyday i have a humble rm203 for that task
i tried running this from a 120amp leisure battery and direct from a 110amp car battery mounted to the vehicle, the assistance of the alternator with the engine running helped to maintain the higher output as expected. if you have some disposable cash and can justify one of these in your collection you will never be disappointed with the results in all modes.
i tried various watt input and found it was accurate to the books specifications, like others i found 30w in achieves your max out but i prefer to put 25w in which still achieved 400+ out

This amp works brilliantly 25w in 350w SSB. At 30w input better than 400w out. Although you can drive in with 35w this doesn't seem necessary. With a good HF RX Eg FTdx10 the preamp is an unnecessary extra.

I have 3 of these amps. 1 in the house, 1 in the car and a spare just incase. I use 10mm2 power cables to supply the required amps needed.
I have found that the weak point is the plastic connection block you put the cables into, they don't handle 50amp very well.
Other than that, I've found them to be very good for the claimed output with all 3 producing the claimed 500w without over driving or over voltage, 1 does produce an indicted 600w with a couple more watts drive than it should have put into it but no need to as the difference in received signal wouldn't really be noticeable.

Can’t fault this amp. Controlling output by using the Ken woods function is easy. Good quality. Just a not to others think of buying one. Check your power can handle the draw. Max power imput is a real bonus. Can take 35 watts when running.
Good amp. Easy to use and delivers the power if needed. But can also be controlled to drive less power when needed with no loss of vocals to other station. I use this Mobil.
