even if you are just using this on very low current like receive only after a time a loud fan starts up and runs for a long time, this is a poor design clearly lacking in thermal heat sinks and a variable speed quality fan

Very Good PSU, But dont sit next to it, after drawing 1A for a short time, the fan kicks in and is not quite,
I would expect a PSU of this Size, the heat sinks should be big enough to keep the fans off.

I would have got the 40 amp version

It's only after getting this that I find it can only do 20 amp continuously. I would have got the bigger one if this had been shown in the description online. It's for powering an FT-991 which says the power requirements are a minimum of 23A. I realise that this will not be continuous so hopefully this power supply will be ok although it does not say how long it can do 30 amps. Otherwise it looks good
