Good cheap antenna with built in ground plane

Only tested this on digital modes so far with an Anytone 10m rig, but have been picked up as far as Moscow Russia and New York USA on 10 watts with good signal reports all things considered.
It's also only in the loft space of my garage so not optimally positioned.

I like this Antenna it's only 3 foot about but it performs pretty well considering I only got it about 12 foot high. It's light but seems good quality.

I could not have a too big antenna so had to get something smaller. I was not sure but seems to be working quite good considering I only have it about 12 foot up. I just use it for cb in shed.

I bought one of these to experiment with more than anything as I already have a full size 11m aerial up.
The build quality reflects the price, it will last years in a loft but doubt it would last long outdoors. Unless you make the effort to seal it up, the top cap especially which was quite loose on mine.
The brackets took some persuasion to line up with the holes as well.
The performance range is as described, good audio reports up to around 4 miles in a built up area. It may perform better in open spaces.
RX goes further, I can hear people over 10 miles away, which may be partly down to them using way more than 4w. I have heard some ‘skip’ on it as well from France to the U.K.
SWR at 1.3 (which is useable) across the U.K. 40 by following the coaxial length chart, a ferrite clip on the coax near the radio also helped a little.
It’s quite a neat little antenna that is discreet on the whole, especially if you are only interested in local contacts or more of a ‘listener’.
Certainly a better option than a magmount on a tin lid!
