X200
Review by
Tony
Replaced my Sharman’s X30 with the X200 set up was straight forward out the box placed it above my 3 element beam @ 7m on a fibreglass 2” mast above the rotator, SWR was not great so removed and made some adjustments placed back on mast used it for the recent 145 Alive event on 2M band managed a 71 mile contact with good reports, I have now removed the X200 and placed it at 7m on its own ally pole set SWR across both bands 1.1.1 more testing required, the X30 is now in my go bag for portable use. Quality of both antennas is very high and I would recommend.

Fantastic antenna gave me a good 5 points up on my x30. Delighted with its perfirmance i csn hit repeaters over 100 miles away. Nearest repeater is 30 mikes awsy and returns a +10 signal. Only fault was no instructions but it's not rocket science it's radio! ????

Very pleased with X-200...

I purchased the Sharmans X-200 shortly after passing my Foundation exam, purchased the Yaesu FT-991A so was off to a good start. The X-200 is fantastic, 1:1 from the top to the bottom of the 2 metre and 70 Cms Bands, could not ask for it to work any better than it does. I have used this antenna for 3 Years and it has held up in the many Storms we have gone through, I am that impressed with this type of Fibreglass antenna that I have recently purchased the moonraker triband antenna, 2 metres+ 70 Cms and 6 metres, will be erecting this weekend!

Good x200
Review by
Hesseys Same Day
This antenna had good gains on 2 and 70 and offered good wide SWR on both bands.
Its strong and well made. Good mounting system.
Its also taken a good beating with wind over the last few days 10th jan to 13th of Jan 2023 and not had any problems.

Good dual Band Antenna
Review by
David
A cheaper alternative to the Diamond X-200 and is of good quality. The SWR is excellent on both 2 Metres and the 70 Cms Band, my SWR indicator on my Yaesu FT-991A doesn't light up, can even use this Antenna on the PMR band with a low SWR, good price at the moment here at Moonraker at a tad under £60, bargin, I gave £70 for mine and it is worth every penny!

Probably avoid this one

After using this antenna for abit I can honestly say it's not a good antenna by any mean unless you are using 70cm only as it refuses to swr any better than 1.7 across all of the 2m band, upon comparing results from various places 2m just sucks on this antenna no Matter where you place it, 70cm is flat anywhere you place it, as for the recieve on 70cm it's disappointing as it's no better than 2m receive which in all honesty should be decent but it's not really gets about 40 miles when other stations are running power of course.
So to conclude if you just want UHF with not great hearing then it's perfect, otherwise choose something else.
