Using this to run an old Yaesu FT747, you can either use it set to a constant 13.8v or variable between I think 8 and I5v. 30A output is good enough for most 100 watt transceivers and I think you'll find its good for the CB'ers running the new higher power SSB rigs. The screw terminals take banana plugs which are a far neater way of attaching your cable. Unless you going to be running other kit other than a transceiver such as amps it should be more than adequate.
