where do i start the price was super , dx del was spot on quick , well packaged , have been using unit ever since have to check it is on at times so quiet .i have the sharman 30 a unit and the fan is always off an on so very well pleased thank you .

Posted out very quick. Great value power supply I purchased due to have radio noise from my old supply which had no filter. Took the plunge and boy so glad I did. This is a great bit of kit 100% no noise interference in the shack. 13.8v at the flick of a switch. Would recommend to anyone.

I ordered this in 2022 because I found out if a IC-7300 supply dropped to or below 12V the radio would put out a load of noise across the band.

This one arrived and I tried it out and it's been doing stirling service ever since! I have 137 countries on FT8 since 1st June 2022! So it has been used a bit!
Previous to getting this one I was using a home brew linear supply that I built for 16A but then replaced the transformer with a 42A to cope with my HF radios but hadn't got arround to upgrading the conductors inside! That would have put me off air for a few days so I bought this supply so I could carry on chasing DXCC!

I rarely hear the fan come on! I was suspicious of switch mode suplies as I heard of several that failed years ago, one contact I know had two die on him! This one has been so reliable and quiet I don't even think about it any more!
To ensure the voltage drop to the radio on tranmit is as little as possible I have installed a bus bar system below the supply and the radio's etc are connected to that!

My main station PSU packed up and I needed a replacement. Having spent several hours pouring over the various emporium websites I settled on this PSU.

When I first turned it on I thought that it did not work because the fan was not running! Then I realised that this was normal. It is the quietest S/M PSU I have owned in many years..

Ergonomically, is well laid out the the lower current oulets to the front making it easy to plug in and out any low powered radios or test equipment.

I am due for a major shack up grade latter this year and will certainly be purchasing another SM50II.

Great PSU, runs quite and gentle light from the meters is nice at nighttime. the output on the front is very handy for running a small 20w mobile radio, I can take it from vehicle to shack and simply plug in, perfect. I've not heard the fan run at all and I recently did 4 hours of FT8. would buy again if I needed another PSU

Had mine for 3 months and I’ve not heard the fan running yet so it’s running nice and cool ????
