The antenna is Approx 18" long, fibreglass construction, and complete with all necessary leads etc, you just needs a 12v supply.

Ideal for monitoring band conditions

I owned one of these aerials many years ago, so was confident it would work well. I have mounted it in the loft away from house wiring. It works well on 160-10m and the built in amplifier alleviates the need to use the receiver preamp. At the latest QTH I have limited mountings for aerials and often swop my HF vertical for V/U beams while taking part in contests. This aerial allows me to continue monitoring HF and track changing band conditions. To ensure a quiet power source I am using a dry cell pack.

I Purchased this HF Active Antenna because I didn’t have the space to put up a long wire .I was very pleased with the antenna performance it has brought back my interest in the shortwave radio listening well pleased with the performance of the HF Scanmaster Active Antenna and would buy again
